Process overview
Bacterial cells are pelleted, resuspended, and lysed. The lysate is then neutralized and the conditions for subsequent binding are adjusted. After clarification by centrifugation, the lysate is run through the PureLink spin column. The DNA is bound to the silica-based membrane on the column and impurities are removed by a single wash step. The DNA is then eluted in elution buffer or water. For research use only. It should not be used in diagnostic procedures.
